Commercial Industry Best Practices & Introduction to Test Methods

Led by seasoned drone professionals with ample industry experience, this course aims to teach students best practices for safe and legal operations of commercially operated drones in the NAS as well as introducing them to the Standardized Test Methods devised by NIST. Aimed at low experience or novice pilots, students will learn the basics of drone flight, pre-and post flight mission planning and NIST Open lane fundamentals. There will also be an introduction to confined and obstructed lanes, with information on how to fabricate apparatuses, conduct trials and embed them into their own training and credentialing program.
